Julian Callos - Artist

Just came across this artist from a friend's post on Facebook. Work loooks amazing - bright colours, different subjects, different marratives - they look fun and meaningful. Want to see more?

Gough Whitlam - Celebrity

He may look old... but he was a great inspiration to Australian's back in the 1970's. Gough Whitlam changed Australian history forever - giving land rights to Aboriginal peoples, lowering the legal age to 18, introducing Medicare - he will still remain a great source of inspiration for years to come. If he hadn't rushed too much to get things done, I think he would have been Prime Minister of Australia for many years... It's Time!

Emma Watson - Celebrity

Always so pretty and such a great inspiration. I think she will continue to rise and become a role model for many, over the years. Her role as Hermione Granger in 'Harry Potter' was epic - she did an awesome job! Her fashion sense is amazing and appropriate and I love that she is still determined to succeed further in life despite her current worldwide success from the 'Harry Potter' franchise. Agree?

Species - Photography

I was very lucky to have spot this bird on my way back home from fishing with the family. Don't know if it was a 'He' or 'She' but IT looked incredible standing on the boulder like it was king! (or queen). However, I had to walk a little closer to it so that I could take a good photo. This led to it flying away... but I managed to capture it nevertheless! Ah, the benefits of the shutter speed...

Vincent Van Gogh - Artist

Just wanted to say, I realised why the photo that I took of the peeling ground (Rip Waves - http://lelakayy.blogspot.com/2012/01/rip-waves-photography.html) looked so strange and familiar. It was because of a painting a keep coming across - no matter what! Vincent Van Gogh's painting 'Starry Night' is an artwork that has similar strokes and detailed lines as this photo that I took. When I realised, I was like 'Oh! Awesome!' - and it is very awesome! Anyone up for 'Spot the DIfference?'

Kelly McKernan - Artist

I just recently came across this artist. Her works are very inspirational and consist of wonderful fine lines and strokes that make her work look elegant, free, and pleasant to look at. She works well with watercolour and does wonderful illustrations of either objects, persons, or just things. She is worth a look!

This is actually the ground! And it's peeling! At first when I saw it, I was like 'What is that?' I saw it while I was taking random photos of the rocks at the beach, so when I took the photo, I was completely astounded! I then inspected it closely and realised that it was the ground, just that it had a coat like bark that was peeling. I found it quite fascinating. Also, the texture of the bark is incredible! I mean, look at that detail... those lines are so close and there's so much of them it looks like long strands of hair. The other thought that crosses my mind is that the bark in these photos looks like a painting or something - paint with some graphite and charcoal. Who could have guessed? This little piece of ground and bark remain such a mystery to me...
